Yesterday, we had a fun visit from Diamond Del. We mined for rocks and minerals and found some really neat stuff! We will be using these when we start our rock unit in science soon!

Week of December 9
ELA: We will be continuing to work on determining main idea in informational text. We will be setting up our chapters in the nonfiction books that we are writing, while we will be putting the finishing touches on the persuasive class book that we are publishing. Be on the lookout for order forms to come home early next week to reserve your copy and to give permission for your child's work to published!
Math: We will continue to review rounding while also perfecting our skills with addition and subtraction. We will have a rounding quiz on Tuesday.
Science: We will be learning about soil.
Social Studies: We will continue learning about early settlers in Carolina.
