How Do I Study for the Deserts/Polar Lands Test?
Students need to know what the following means and be able to apply this knowledge to science questions:
food chain
producer
consumer
herbivore
decomposer
carnivore
omnivore
nocturnal
migration
adaptation
camouflage
characteristics of a hot desert
characteristics of a cold desert (tundra)
adaptations of animals and plants in the desert and tundra (polar land) regions
Students have notes in their notebooks and binders as well as information in Google Classroom that they can access from home.
**Many of these terms are repeats of what we learned during our grassland unit. Through class discussions and notes, students should be able to respond to various scenarios and questions**
